Senior Managing Partner

Samantha Howland, DSI Senior Managing Partner, has spent her career at the intersection of strategy and talent development. She’s a pragmatist who works with clients to turn vision into action: “I listen carefully to a leader’s passion, vision, and energy and boil it down to a plan that mobilizes a whole organization to move in the same direction.”

Through her consulting work, Samantha has helped a wide variety of organizations build their strategic leadership capability and their strategy agendas, including major healthcare players such as GSK, Merck, and J&J, financial services organizations including six of the twelve Federal Reserve banks, and other Fortune 500s such as Comcast and GE. She has also worked extensively with national associations like the American Heart Association, the American Marketing Association, and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) using tools like future industry studies to encourage big-picture thinking, innovation and dynamic growth for their organizations and professional members.

Samantha forged her customer centric approach to talent development and strategic problem solving early in her career, building a professional sales organization for a financial services firm. She then assumed leadership roles in emerging technology firms, pushing them from product to solutions oriented organizations while building their strategy teams and scaling client services operations.

Samantha received a B.A. from Vassar College, and an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. She leads DSI’s Executive Development Practice.
